Real Betis are desperate to bring in a creative presence before the end of the summer transfer window, and it looks like they may not have the funds to bring in Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid. They turned their attention to another former midfielder of theirs.
Betis submitted a final offer for Ceballosbut they have no hope of being accepted, and as such, they have opened discussions with Tottenham Hotspur for Giovani Lo Celso returns. Like Ceballos, Lo Celso has been perennially linked with a return to Benito Villamarin in recent seasons, but like Ceballos, finances could get in the way.
Despite the Argentina international only having a year left on his deal, Spurs are demanding around €15 million for his signature. Betis made a first offer of around 6 million euros for Lo Celso. Marco say Betis are waiting for a response, with Aston Villa also linked to Lo Celso.
Manuel Pellegrini has Isco and Pablo Fornals at his disposal, but with another season in Europe, will no doubt be keen to have plenty of depth at his disposal. Also, and in comparison to the Nabil Fekir who leave, Lo Celso and Ceballos can play more in the center of the field with Isco in front of them.
