The president of Real Betis, Angel Haro, once again told the press that there is no doubt about his commitment to the Chilean manager Manuel Pellegrini. The 70-year-old has signed a new deal with the club until 2026, despite a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, however his future is being discussed again.
With Betis in danger of missing out on Europe for the first time during a full season under Pellegrini, there have been some suggestions that perhaps his spell in Seville had come to an end. However, in recent weeks, Betis have come out firmly to deny that chatter, as has Pellegrini. He too rejected an offer from Romewith Haro saying MD that while they have no doubt, football is unpredictable.
“Internally there is no debate. When you lose people can speculate. We are very happy with Manuel's work, he is happy and has a valid contract. I am surprised that this debate is generated. As for French international Nabil Fekir, there is even more talk that Betis will try to offload him in the summer, as his wages outweigh his performances coming off an ACL injury. Haro said it was only natural that he would take his time for training.
“We have to understand that he is coming from a major injury. We all would like Fekir to be like the other seasons before the injury, but little by little he realizes, he already has the quality. He also needed these shocks encouragement”.
