Real Betis have sent a delegation to Barcelona to negotiate for the Blaugrana forward Victor Roqueand they were happy with the speeches. However, the Catalan side are reluctant to let him go on loan, preferring some immediate income to help sanitize their salary cap situation.

The legend of Club Joaquin was part of the delegation that spoke to Roque, and returned to Seville saying that they were satisfied with how the talks went. Tuesday morning, Betis President Angel Haro gave an update on their search for Roque, confirming that they were looking for “three different routes.” On Roque specifically, Haro said that they do not plan to buy the estate.

“We have made some moves to complete the team, mainly in the advanced position, and there is a short list of three routes that we are exploring. One of them has been more public. We are talking with the player and the club. The player is receptive, but they also have other options open. We are convinced that the project in Betis is something that is passionate or enthusiastic.

“Logically it is not simple, he is a player Barcelona has made a significant investment in. He will also have other options, but he told us that he likes the project. We will not consider a purchase of at this stage. This year does not make sense .Another year maybe yes, but I won't buy a player of that size this year,” he said Relief.

Haro also admitted that Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Valles, who has reportedly resisted a move to Betis, is “a player the club likes”, despite saying he has settled on his keepers.

One of the other routes that Betis will look for is Borussia Dortmund, while the other remains unknown. Betis' offer is a loan with the obligation or option to buy 50% of his rights next summer. Sporting CP sporting director Hugo Viana also traveled to Barcelona for talks earlier this week. Their offer is thought to be 20 million euros plus around 10 million euros in variables, with the Catalan side hoping to increase the fixed fee to around 25 million euros.
