Real Betis will include Isco Alarcon in the squad for the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League
Earlier this month, Isco Alarcon made his return to action after six months out with a broken leg. Originally he was supposed to return at the beginning of the season, but because a second surgery was necessary after the appearance of complications, the 32-year-old was forced to delay his return, which eventually came to happen against in Barcelona.
Isco made cameos from the bench against Barcelona and Villarreal, although he could not play in Betis' final two matches of the UEFA Conference League (vs. Petrocub and HJK Helsinki) because he was not registered before the window closed in August. However, he will be available in the knockout phase, as reported by AS Diary.
Betis they begin their knockout leg against Gent in the play-off round in February, and Isco will be registered for that game and beyond. It will be one of three changes that can be made to the Conference League team, with him taking the place of William Carvalho, who is out for the rest of the season.
