Real Madrid Star Vinicius Junior has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, and while there seems little chance of a deal going through, rumors continue to swirl about the money they would be willing to spend spend on the Brazilian.
After talking about a contract of more than 1 billion euros for Vinicius, MD cites El Chiringuito, who say that Saudi Arabia would be willing to part with 500 million euros to sign the superstar. There has been talk that Vinicius would perhaps consider an offer if he were to arrive – so far there have only been speculations that have come to his camp – but Real Madrid have not. They need a €1b release clause from Vinicius before he is allowed to leave.
The situation could become more interesting next season, when Vinicius only has two years left on his deal, which is usually around the time new contracts are discussed. As a cynic might point out, the Saudi interest is good leverage in any negotiation. Equally, if Vinicius is not willing to renew with them, the Blancos could consider an outrageous offer.
