Real Madrid are targeting Trent Alexander-Arnold and another defensive signing from the Premier League
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold in recent months, with the right-back out of contract next summer and available to sign on a free transfer in January. However, he is not the only big-name Premier League defender they are looking to bring in next summer.
At least according to reports from The independent. They say that Jude Bellingham is in constant conversation with Alexander-Arnold, with whom he has a good friendship, about the latter coming to the Santiago Bernabeu. They are currently evaluating their future, and they are also monitoring situation of Rodri Hernandez at Manchester Citywho wants to return to Spain, and could be given a reason to do so by the charges of the Premier League against his club, depending on how they play.

They are also looking to bring in a big-name centre-back from the Premier League. ArsenalWilliam Saliba has been identified as their main target, but taking into account the growing strength of Arsenal, they are aware that it could be difficult to extract. Tottenham Hotspur's Cristian Romero is being considered as his alternative to Saliba, with Los Blancos enjoying a relationship with Spurs.
Both Romero and Saliba have been linked with Real Madrid in recent months, although each deal could cost more than €100 million. Dani Carvajal is also likely to renew his agreement at the Bernabeu, which means that Alexander-Arnold will not be needed immediately, but they will soon have a better market opportunity. On the other hand, with Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba in their thirties, it is not surprising that the European champions are assessing their options at the back.
