Real Madrid have decided to renew the contract of veteran defender Dani Carvajal, although they may go out of their way to break their unofficial rules.
The 32-year-old right-back has returned to his best form this season, and has been a key reason for his success, with few injury problems holding him back. The physical data collected by the fitness staff at Real Madrid say that he is as healthy as ever, and in Valdebebas, they are convinced that he can stay at the highest level for the next five or six years.
From his point of view, Carvajal is happy and wants to stay at Real Madrid. His long-term focus is to reach the World Cup in 2026, and he intends to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until then at least. His current deal expires in 2025, and Real Madrid have already unanimously decided to renew his deal.
