Real Madrid have yet to seal a replacement for Nacho Fernandez, but they have given Rafa Marin the green light to leave the club. The 22-year-old will complete a move to Napoli in the coming days.
Matteo Moretto he revealed to Daily Briefing by Fabrizio Romano that the Blancos have in fact approved a move Naples, and the deal is just “a matter of time.” The two clubs are still hammering out the last details of the recovery clause, and the player's agents are still resolving their image rights agreement with Napoli, but little more remains to be resolved. Marin and Real Madrid both agree to the move.
Previous reports put the deal at around 15 million euros, with the buyout clause around double that, although that could increase over time. Marin had a decent season with Alaves on loan this year, and had been talked about as a candidate to replace the departed Nacho Fernandez. However, with Leny Yoro apparently prioritizing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, it looks like he will be their fourth centre-back.
