Real Madrid are set to meet with agent Jorge Mendes to discuss the future of Andriy Lunin this week, with his future up in the air. His renewal was almost sealed to commit him to the club long-term, but in recent weeks Los Blancos have had no news about his future, and now there are doubts about his continuity.
As detailed on Daily Briefing by Fabrizio Romano from Matteo Moretto, there is interest in Lunin from abroad, and Los Blancos are considering the fact that they may have to take alternative actions. Among the links with Espanyol Joan Garcia, and the suggestions that Chelsea Kepa Arrizabalaga could return to the club, Moretto confirms that Real Madrid have indeed inquired about Kepa's availability again this summer.
The 29-year-old Basque goalkeeper has had a couple of less impressive performances for Real Madrid, but has mixed those with some excellent ones as well. While losing his place to Lunin, few could turn their noses at the Chelsea shot-stopper as a back-up to Thibaut Courtois.
