Real Madrid have been rumored to be moving to sign a new centre-back during the upcoming winter transfer window, and if that happens, it wouldn't be a surprise if Jesus Vallejo was moved.

Despite being one of only two senior defenders currently fit and available, Vallejo is not being counted on by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. Raul Asencio and Aurelien Tchouameni are both ahead of him in the pecking order, while David Alaba should return soon from the ACL injury that has kept him out for 12 months.

Because of this, it is perhaps not surprising that ED they reported that Real Madrid is open to selling Vallejo in January. The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, but the club are willing to let him go sooner, provided an acceptable offer arrives.

Rayo Vallecano they want to sign Vallejo, even if they can't reach an agreement with Real Madrid next month, his plan would be to offer a pre-contract, which will see him go to Vallecas from next summer.
