Real Madrid face some key squad call-ups as their UEFA Champions League campaign gets underway.

Los Blancos returned to La Liga action from the international break with a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in San Sebastian.

However, their attention will soon turn to UEFA Champions League action as their European title defense begins in midweek, at home to VfB Stuttgart.

Carlo Ancelotti confirmed full-time in the Basque Country who are considering rotations due to injury problems in their backline.

Eder Militao completed 90 minutes, despite his injury in international work with Brazil, but the schedule is packed for Ancelotti's charges.

Militao is fine to face the Bundesliga, but Ancelotti said his centre-backs should return, with Jesus Vallejo potentially enter.

David Alaba is not expected to return and Aurelien Tchouameni missed this weekend through injury and its status remains doubtful.
