Real Madrid striker Rodrygo goes has made a visible effort to welcome Kylian Mbappe, and saying that he is waiting for the competition next season. However, it did not prevent many from thinking that he could be a victim of the arrival of the French.

The Brazilian moved quickly to say he was happy to be at the club after declaring in an interview that “you never know what can happen”. There would be no shortage of suitors, with Manchester City interested, and El Chiringuito supporting him Liverpool they had an offer rejected.

According to their information, the Reds offered 120 million euros for Rodrygo, which was rejected by Real Madrid. Sport brought the report, and also quotes Defensa Central in saying that Los Blancos will be willing to do business for 150 million euros. The latter are traditionally a less reliable source though.

Of course, at that point, Real Madrid might feel Liverpool have to pay over the odds for the Brazilian, and given they have more than enough resources to cope without Rodrygo, it would certainly be tempting. Until he spends a season in a back-to-back role though, it looks like Rodrygo will try to fight for his place.
