Real Madrid have successfully extended the contracts of two of their crucial first team staff, goalkeeper coach Luis Llopis and fitness coach Antonio Pintus. Both have been credited with a considerable role in Los Blancos' success since the return of Carlo Ancelotti.
Both were out of contract this summer, though Brand report that both have renewed their contracts. The pair's deals were negotiated separately from those of the rest of the staff, Davide Ancelotti, Francesco Mauri, Beniamino Fulco and Simeone Montanaro. His future is not linked to that of the Italian manager, with the club considering him crucial to who is the coach in charge.
Pintus had a first spell under Zinedine Zidane, but was fired by the Frenchman upon his return, and brought in 2021 under Ancelotti. He is generally credited with Real Madrid's ability to peak in April and May physically. Meanwhile Thibaut Courtois has been considered the best goalkeeper in the world for the last few years, and Andriy Lunin was among the best in Spain this season, which Llopis also had a hand in. He also returned from Real Sociedade in 2021.
