Real Madrid star misses trip to Las Palmas in bid to seal late transfer departure

Real Madrid traveled to Gran Canaria as they look for their second La Liga win of the season against Las Palmas, but did so without Dani Ceballos as he tries to force a move away from the club.

Ceballos wants to leave for a bigger role at another team, with hometown club Real Betis likely to be his preferred destination, although AS Monaco have also shown interest. Ceballos asked the manager Carlo Ancelotti not to include in the trip, despite being called, to seal an exit, as MD. The 28-year-old feels in the best shape of his life, and he is not getting the minutes he wants.

One of the big obstacles will be their asking price. Real Madrid are reluctant to see him leave, given the loss of Toni Kroos and the injury to Eduardo Camavinga, and are demanding a €20m fee for Ceballos.
