Real Madrid take a step to ensure the availability of the first team of the teenager for the season 2024-25
There is no doubt that Real Madrid lack central defensive options, following the departures of Nacho Fernandez and Rafa Marin earlier this summer. David Alaba and Joan Martinez are also unavailable after ACL injuries, meaning Carlo Ancelotti has only three senior players in the position: Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and the previously ruled out Jesus Vallejo.
Aurelien Tchouameni can also fill in when needed, although Eduardo Camavinga now out for 6-7 weeks with a knee injury, will be needed more in midfield. As such, Real Madrid have now ensured that they will have more cover at centre-back.
Jacobo Ramon has been with Real Madrid's first team all summer, and continues to be at Ancelotti's disposal this summer – as he has been registered as a first team player, as per AS Diary.
Ramon was given the number 31 shirt, which means he can still play for Castilla when not called up by Ancelotti. It wouldn't be surprising if the 19-year-old did his thing Real Madrid debut in the coming months.
