Real Madrid transfer target opens contract with Sevilla

Real Madrid will be looking to address the right-back position over the next couple of years, and one player they have been linked with is Juanlu Sanchez. The 21-year-old has been on the club's radar for some time, and although he is only considered a backup target compared to Trent Alexander-Arnold, he is highly regarded at Los Blancos.

However, making a deal in 2025 seems to be complicated. Earlier this week, it was reported that RB Leipzig were aiming to sign Juanlu on loan with an option to buy, although following this, Sevilla are now moving to agree a new contract with the young defender, as per ED.

Juanlu's existing deal ends in 2026, so there would be some danger if he doesn't extend it at the end of the season. Seville they hope to increase his release clause by 20 million euros, which, if they do, will provide more security if Real Madrid come to piss in the future.
