Richarlsion has ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, which could hamper Tottenham's transfer plans.
Selling to the Brazilian is The key to Spurs' plans to sign a new centre-forward before the end of the transfer window.
The north London club had hoped to sell him to Saudi Arabia for around £60m.
However, it seems Richarlison is not too keen on heading to the Saudi Pro League.
In an interview with ESPN BrazilThe 27-year-old said: “The money is a lot, but my dreams are bigger.”
He added: “An offer came, but my dream of playing for the Brazilian national team and the Premier League is stronger. It is decided.”
Journalist João Castelo-Branco, who conducted the interview, added that Richarlison is happy at Spurs.
Tottenham are interested in signing Ivan Toney or Dominic Solanke But Richarlison is under contract with the club until 2027 and is under no obligation to leave.
talkSPORT understands Al-Ahli were willing to accept the club's £60m valuation of Richarlison, who joined from Everton for a similar fee in 2022.
Solanke has a £65m release clause in his contract and Bournemouth are determined not to sell him for less.
Meanwhile, Brentford are under increasing pressure to offload Toney, who has less than a year left on his contract.
The Bees are believed to be willing to listen to offers of around £50million.
Richarlison struggled desperately during his first season at Spurs, scoring once in 27 Premier League games, before improving following the arrival of manager Ange Postecoglou.
The former Watford man scored 11 goals in the top flight last season and admitted he had been struggling with mental health issues.
Tottenham are interested in adding a 20-goal-a-season striker to Postecoglou's project following the departure of Harry Kane in 2023.
Both Solanke and Toney have shown they can reach those heights in recent seasons.
Former Watford captain Troy Deeney recently argued Toney would be the perfect signing for the Spurs.
“I think Solanke works best in a team like Arsenal, where he has to be on the wing of something,” Deeney told talkSPORT.
“If they're going to spend £65m, which is the reported fee, I'd expect them (Tottenham) to go for Toney, if they can get him.
“Test the waters with Brentford and leave the offer on the table for a week.”
