“Cristiano is a great player and obviously a great voice, but the manager is thinking about what he does on the training pitch, he has sessions to do, he has results to get, performances to achieve.
“So it was absolutely fine, and I liked what I saw when I walked in there, the atmosphere and the vibe felt as clean and pure as I've seen in a long time.”
