'Roasting Man United': Liverpool fans all say the same about Arne Slot's comments
Liverpool fans are loving Arne Slot's latest comments in which he seemed to subtly take aim at Manchester United.
The Reds boss has had an electric start at Anfield with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League with five wins out of a possible six.
having won AC Milan in their first Champions League clash and defeating West Ham 5-1 in the third round of the Carabao Cup, things are certainly looking rosy with Slot.
Their biggest success so far has to be the 3-0 victory over their arch-rival. manchester united at Old Trafford, a result that really endeared him to the Liverpool faithful.
It meant that when Slot commented on Liverpool's need to prove themselves against a top Premier League club, all fans came to the same conclusion.
Speaking to the media, Slot said: “One of the reasons we can compete is because we have a lot of quality and I also see a lot of cohesion in the team.
“So, if we score, I also see that those who are not playing are very happy with us scoring (and) winning.
“Those are two really positive things, but I also see things that we definitely have to improve if we want to stay where we are in the upcoming schedule.”

Liverpool fans clearly saw his comments as a dig at their rivals, with Manchester United currently 13th in the table.

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Not the first time this season he has humiliated United.”
Liverpool's victory over Man United certainly increased the pressure on Erik ten Hag, a man fighting for his place at Old Trafford.
talkSPORT understands that The Dutchman will have at least two more games in charge of the Red Devils with the club's hierarchy keen not to react knee-jerk to their 3-0 defeat against Tottenham at the weekend.
That said, on current form it remains to be seen if Slot will get another chance to take on his compatriot with increasing pressure.
