Liverpool fans are loving Arne Slot's latest comments in which he seemed to subtly take aim at Manchester United.

The Reds boss has had an electric start at Anfield with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League with five wins out of a possible six.

having won AC Milan in their first Champions League clash and defeating West Ham 5-1 in the third round of the Carabao Cup, things are certainly looking rosy with Slot.

Their biggest success so far has to be the 3-0 victory over their arch-rival. manchester united at Old Trafford, a result that really endeared him to the Liverpool faithful.

It meant that when Slot commented on Liverpool's need to prove themselves against a top Premier League club, all fans came to the same conclusion.

“We have to do things better, but one of the reasons we can stay there is because we have a lot of players with a lot of individual quality.”

Liverpool fans clearly saw his comments as a dig at their rivals, with Manchester United currently 13th in the table.

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Not the first time this season he has humiliated United.”

Liverpool's victory over Man United certainly increased the pressure on Erik ten Hag, a man fighting for his place at Old Trafford.
