Romeo Beckham has left Brentford, but has not signed for a new club.
Instead, the 22-year-old has joined a leading Paris fashion agency as he looks to focus on a career in that industry.
The son of England legend David Beckham has been with the Bees' B team since 2023 and was offered the chance to extend his contract in June.
However, according to The sunBeckham left the club amid a deal with French agency Safe Management.
A source told the outlet: “Romeo has decided to hang up his football boots and dedicate his time to his career in fashion.
“He has loved his time at Brentford but she needs to focus her attention on fashion, which is where her passion lies.
“Romeo has recently signed with a top Paris fashion agent and has his sights set on working with some major brands.”
This is not the first time that the son of David and Victoria Beckham has changed his career path.
After playing for Arsenal as a youngster, he swapped football for tennis.
However, he returned to the sport in 2020, before signing for his father's Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami, in 2021.
He made 26 appearances for Inter Miami II, scoring two goals and adding 10 assists in his final season with the MLS reserves before moving to Brentford on loan in January 2023.
That deal became permanent that summer.
But now, the second Beckham son will leave football behind and follow in the footsteps of his mother, former Posh Spice of the iconic British band Spice Girls.
Victoria became a fashion designer after her singing career came to an end and is considered a fashion icon.
Romeo has appeared on the cover of numerous magazines over the years, as well as starring in a Burberry campaign at the ripe old age of two.
