Roy Keane once ended up lying in the street on a bed of glass after being thrown out of a bar window.

Talking about the latest episode of Sky Bet Stay with footballthe panel were playing a game of 'MythBusters', and Gary Neville asked Keane if it was true that he had been banned from former Forest defender Larry Lloyd's bar 'The Stage Door'.

The bar later became the venue for Forest's Christmas parties, and Lloyd revealed to the The independent in 2008 that sent Keane packing after having one too many drinks.

He said: “Let's just say I thought Roy was being a bit naughty. I asked him to leave. He gave me a bit of lip service.

“I spoke to their captain, Stuart Pearce, and asked him to make Roy leave. Stuart said, 'No harm done'. So I kicked them all out.”

But Keane has stressed that that particular rumor is not true, but recalled a wild night in Nottingham when he ended up on his back in the street.

The Irishman commented: “I was thrown out of a bar window in Nottingham!

“I was in a wine bar one night, I had just arrived at United and I remember going back to Forest to check on my house.

“The reserves played, but I went out at night and used to go drinking when I was a Forest player.

“A couple of idiots in there, the usual ones, especially the bouncers! I used to drink the wine from the bottle, I wouldn't drink the glass, it was cheap wine, like £6.

Gary Neville was left shocked when Wayne Rooney reveals Jamie Carragher's autobiography is the only book he has read, prompting Roy Keane to make a brutal dig.

“I was with some guys and some words were said, and this guy threw me out the window.

“I went through a window and a door, landed on the street, glass everywhere. It was like the wild west!”

Before adding: “I was on the floor, but I still had the bottle of wine in my hand! Glasses everywhere!”

His comment provoked fits of laughter from his colleagues Neville, Wayne Rooney and Ian Wright, and Keane once again made it clear that he did not set foot inside 'The Stage Door'.

He said: “Not that pub (Larry Lloyd's), this was a different pub. I was never banned (from entering there). I don't think I ever set foot in that place.”
