Ruben Amorim can start to “build confidence” at Man United: he will only improve after getting rid of the deadwood
Rubén Amorim has been told he must get rid of the “dead wood” at Manchester United if he wants to start “building trust”.
The situation seems to be changing with a mixed start at Old Trafford for Amorim, whose team shows great promise as they fought to draw at Liverpool and beat Arsenal in the FA Cup in his last two outings.

“Slowly it will start to remove some of the dead elements, whether it's (Marcus) Rashford or other people. “There are radiators and drains in life and I don't think Rashford is a radiator, I think he's a drain.
“You're going to start getting rid of some of these people and you're starting to build a team that's fundamentals first.
“After that, you'll get a playstyle and a formula, but Amorim is doing what I expected it to do.”

Jordan also compared Amorim's work at Man United to that of Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, with the team beginning to establish some stability in the usual starting eleven.
Although no signings have been confirmed, Paraguayan left back Diego León has joined.
The 17-year-old will solve a problem in United's defense, which only has a left foot Luke Shaw who has been blighted by injuries in that role.
South American club Cerro Porteño are understood to receive between £6m and £7m for León.
Rashford appears to be the most likely departure from the Man United squad as he has not played for several games nor featured in the matchday squad.
AC Milan are leading the interest, although other European giants, including Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, have been eyeing the 27-year-old.

Amorim have won five games out of a possible 13, although performances against Liverpool and Arsenal suggest they are on an upward trajectory.
Manchester United next face Southampton at home in the Premier League before hosting Brighton at the weekend.
