Ruben Amorim downplays awkward Ed Sheeran moment and insists a 'real star' was already there
Ruben Amorim joked that he was already with a 'star' like Roy Keane when Ed Sheeran interrupted his post-Ipswich interview.
The iconic English singer, sponsor and co-owner of the Tractor Boys, I accidentally entered on Amorim's first post-match chat on Sky Sports manchester united1-1 draw at Portman Road.

Sheeran received backlash for jumping into the chat and greeting pundit Jamie Redknapp, but has since apologized and claimed he didn't know they were on air.
But Amorim has now insisted that the situation did not have to be “too complicated” and that the incident was “nothing”.
Asked if the Sheeran saga showed how much attention and scrutiny comes with the hot spot at Old Trafford, he said: “Yes (it does), especially in Portugal. In Portugal it's very difficult.”
“Sometimes you overcomplicate things, it was nothing, just saying hello to one of the commentators.”
Smiling, he went on to joke that he was already in the company of a star anyway, with him alongside Man United legend and Sky Sports pundit Keane during the chat.
“And I was with Roy Keanewho is a real star, so it was nothing,” he laughs.
Sheeran received support from talkSPORT's Jeff Stelling following the incident.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast on Monday, he said: “I didn’t think there was anything offensive about it.
“I have to say it's his club, he's a shareholder there, the club themselves say it's hugely important to promote Ipswich Town and I don't know what was going on in the background, why he appeared on the screen, whether he was being encouraged to do that.” “
The singer took to Instagram to admit he felt like a 'b****' about the interruption.

He said: “Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday, I didn't realize at the time he was being interviewed, he was turning up to say hello and say goodbye to Jamie.
“Obz is feeling a bit bad but life goes on. Great game though, congratulations to everyone involved x.”
In Amorim's first game in charge, Marcus Rashford scored in the first two minutes to put the away team 1-0 up in their first game against Ipswich since 2002.
But the Tractor Boys quickly got back into the game, with former Manchester City striker Liam Delap unlucky not to equalise.
One finally arrived for former Red Devils coach Kieran McKenna's team.
Former Chelsea winger Omari Hutchinson scored just before half-time to give them a point.
Amorim will take charge of their first home game on Thursday when the Red Devils host Norway's Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.
“Everyone told me it would be a special moment,” the Portuguese coach continued.
“I just want to win the game, give that happiness to the fans.
“Before the game it will be a new sensation, but afterward it will be just another game and we want to win.”
