He scored his first three points in England after drawing his first game against Ipswich last weekend.

On top of that, Amorim also made Man United history during the big win.

The Red Devils went into the break with a 2-0 lead, thanks to goals from Mark Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee.

That score meant the Portuguese manager became the first United manager to see his team two goals ahead at half-time in their first Premier League match at Old Trafford.

It is an achievement that none of his predecessors, such as Erik ten Hag, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jose Mourinhoeither Sir Alex Fergusonadministered.

He also achieved something that Ten Hag never achieved during his entire tenure at the club during the game.

With the Dutchman in charge, Man United never won a Premier League game by four or more goals.

Now they have achieved it in Amorim's second match.

Amorim had already made some history in the top flight also before this match, equaling last weekend's record.

So now as he celebrates three points in front of the Man United fans, he will be delighted with his start in England.

And another who will be delighted along with Amorim is Rashford, who scored two goals against Everton.

Rashford scored a double for the first time in the Premier League since February 2023, adding three goals in two games under his new boss.

With those two goals at Old Trafford, he also surpassed a top-flight great in the scoring charts.

But reaching a milestone and surpassing Hazard with a great performance shows the levels at which he can play.

Amorim set out to try and “help” the former England international when he arrived and it seems to be working now.

After the 1-1 draw with Ipswich, in which Rashford scored, he said: “I will try to help him. We will try to find the right solution for him, as for the other players.

“But it has to be Marcus, first of all, to try and get back to that moment and then he will have all the help from the staff, the club and the fans because he is a Manchester United boy.

“But he has to be the first to want it.”

After a brace in the game following those comments from his manager, it certainly looks like Rashford wants it.

After the action he talked about how he is enjoying football again with Amorim.

“I think (getting back to our best level) is the goal for all of us,” he told Sky Sports. “Even in bad times you keep doing the same thing.
