Ruhr Nachrichten reports that Sebastien Haller could be available for Borussia Dortmund this weekend as they face Wolfsburg.
Haller added another chapter to his remarkable story as he scored the winner for the Ivory Coast to help them win the Africa Cup of Nations in the West African nation. This happened only 18 months after Haller had been diagnosed with testicular cancer and went through a rough recovery process.
Haller is expected to return to Germany at the latter end of the week and a decision will be made on if he is in the correct condition to be involved in the matchday squad.
The 29-year-old’s contribution at AFCON will mean he returns to the Bundesliga with a confidence that was significantly lacking in the first half of the season. Haller has yet to score in the Bundesliga this season and was demoted to the bench behind summer signing Niclas Füllkrug.
