Sébastien Haller set for Eredivisie return

Borussia Dortmund forward Sébastien Haller looks set to return to the Eredivisie this winter with former club FC Utrecht, according to Florian Plettenberg

The Ivory Coast international has spent the first half of the season on loan with La Liga side, CD Leganés, but has failed to make an impact.

The 30 year old has featured only nine times for the Spanish club and failed to score or assist so far.

With the move to Spain not working for either club or player, Haller could be moving once again on loan elsewhere.

As reported by our sister company Get Belgium and Dutch Football News, Utrecht remain interested in the forward who previously played for them between 2015 and 2017, scoring 52 goals in 98 games.

His most recent spell in the Eredivisie was with Ajax, where he scored 47 goals in 66 games. Utrecht are hopeful that Haller can boost their chances of European football at the end of the season.
