Sevilla agreed terms with the sixth manager in two years after the departure of Quique Sanchez Flores

Last weekend, Sevilla announced that Quique Sanchez Flores will leave after Sunday's game against Barcelona. The 59-year-old's contract, signed in December after Diego Alonso's disaster in charge, will not be renewed, and moves have been made quickly to get him his next manager.

According to a report from The Sevillian, Sevilla have an agreement in principle to hire Las Palmas coach Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta as their next manager. The former Barca Atletic boss will arrive at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan after the end of the season this weekend, and is expected to sign a one-year contract (which can be extended for another 12 months).

Garcia Pimienta informed the Las Palmas hierarchy on Wednesday that he was moving on, and will say his goodbyes to the club's supporters this weekend during the home game against Alaves.

Garcia Pimienta should be a very exciting appointment for Seville. Sure, his Las Palmas side have fallen off a cliff in recent months, but they've still been one of the most impressive teams to watch in La Liga this season. However, the task in Andalusia will be considerably more difficult, and the stake will be higher.
