After the summer transfer window closed at the end of August, Sevilla sold Lucas Ocampos to Mexico's Monterrey de Rayados. It turns out that this deal will be very beneficial in the build-up to the reopening of the market in January.

Ace for Reliefit is estimated that Sevilla brought in a total of €12-13m from the departure of Ocampos, in terms of transfer fee and saved wages. Because of this, they have the financial freedom to make signings during the winter, and two additions to the team of Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta are targeted.

Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta's primary aim is to sign a new winger, as the departure of Ocampos and the long-term injury to Chidera Ejuke means the Nervionenses are struggling in this department. On top of that, a striker is also wanted, as scoring has been a problem so far this season.

It remains to be seen whether Seville he manages to achieve these goals in January, but if so, he could set himself up for a strong second half of the season.
