Real Madrid ended their week in fantastic style, hitting four unanswered goals after a hapless Granada team, whose relegation from the League was confirmed earlier on Saturday. Carlo Ancelotti fielded a “B team” for the match, resting Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde, not that it mattered in the end.
Ancelotti was very happy with his team's performance at Los Carmenes, as he told the media post-match (via AS Diary).
“The feeling is good, because everyone competes, fights, shows quality, and plays as a team. Things are also very good with Courtois and Militao, as they improve. Everything went well today. The goal is to have the whole squad at full strength for Wembley, and I think we'll get there.”
Carlo Ancelotti singled out Arda Guler for special praise, after another impressive performance from the Real Madrid starlet, who added another goal to his account.
“He shows a fantastic talent, he is very efficient and has speed. I don't know what his ceiling is, it is difficult to say today, but he is naturally talented and he is doing very well.”
