Sky Germany reports that Red Star Belgrade and Anderlecht are both interested in VfB Stuttgart winger Silas, with both of their transfer windows still open.
The DR Congo international was not in Stuttgart’s squad for their 3-3 draw with Mainz on Saturday while he has also not featured in games against Freiburg and Preußen Münster to start the season. The 25-year-old did feature in the DFL Super Cup against Bayer Leverkusen but missed his penalty.
Red Star is already in talks with Silas’ management about a potential move to Serbia. Red Star can also offer Champions League football as they are set to face Stuttgart in the newly improved Champions League format.
Anderlecht is also an option for the winger, while Fulham had previously shown interest in Silas earlier this summer but the transfer window in England is now closed.
Silas’ first season in the Bundesliga was very impressive as he scored 11 and assisted four in 25 games, as Stuttgart finished ninth in their first season back in the top flight. Since a ligament injury in his second season, the winger struggled to reach those numbers again and after the permanent arrival of Jamie Leweling in the summer, Silas will likely face a reduced role.
