Aston Villa Women can confirm that Simone Magill will leave the club when her current deal expires at the end of the month.
The Northern Ireland international joined Villa from Everton in the summer of 2022 but sadly suffered an ACL injury whilst on international duty.
After months of hard work and perseverance, Magill made her long-awaited debut for Villa in May 2023 and would go on to make 21 appearances for the club.
Her lone strike in claret & blue came in an FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers in November.
Head of Women’s Football, Lee Billiard said: “Simone’s professionalism since her arrival in 2022 has been exemplary. Her hard-work and attitude in coming back from a terrible ACL injury was first class, and everyone at the football club was delighted to see her back on the pitch.”
