Spain has made the right call to the injured Lamine Yamal

The leader of Spain Luis de la Fuente offered an update on the release decision Yamal plates back to Barcelona.

De la Fuente spoke after being presented with the Marca MVP award for the Spanish national team earlier La Roja final games of 2024.

Spain face Denmark in Copenhagen on November 15 before hosting Switzerland in Tenerife three days later.

The call to remove the 17-year-old from de la Fuente's options came after a joint call between Barcelona's medical staff and the RFEF team doctor.

De la Fuente gathered the verdict on the fitness of Lamine Yamal with the best place for him to return to Barcelona to continue his recovery before the end of November.

“We have been in contact with Barça since yesterday. Today's tests show that he has an injury and what matters most is the health of the players,” according to reports from Marco.

Bryan Gil was rewarded for his consistency in Girona with a call-up to replace Lamine Yamal.
