Spain to make significant changes for second leg of UEFA Nations League against Switzerland

Spain failed to get off to a winning start to their 2024-25 UEFA Nations League campaign as they drew 0-0 with Serbia on Thursday night. Luis de la Fuente's side will now go in search of their first win on Sunday when they make the trip to Switzerland.

According to AS Diarysignificant changes will be made to the side that started in Belgrade. What is sure to happen will see Rodri return after suspension, and replace Martin Zubimendi. Also, Oscar Mingueza could have the opportunity to start in place of Dani Carvajal.

The absence of Mikel Oyarzabal opens the door for Joselu Mato to play, although he could remain on the bench in favor of Dani Olmo who is moved to a false position of nine.

Lamine Yamal played the full 90 minutes against Serbia and is said to be aiming to start Spain against Switzerland. However, for everyone involved, it would be better (in the long run) if he wasn't on the starting line.
