Carlo Ancelotti is willing to keep faith with Luka Modric in their UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid edged closer to the La Liga title after a 1-0 win at home to Real Sociedad before the first stage in Munich.
Ancelotti made nine starting changes in San Sebastian with the Italian set to preserve his star names for the trip to Bavaria.
However, the clash at the Estadio Anoeta was also a chance for some players to make a late claim to start, and Modric is among them.
The veteran midfielder came off the bench in both legs of Real Madrid's quarter-finals Manchester City and Ancelotti is ready to use it again if necessary.
“Modric showed again what he has shown in recent matches. He is in excellent physical condition. It allows us to take the pressure off. His condition is spectacular and he can play on Tuesday,” according to reports from Brand.
Ancelotti will likely use Modric to seal a result in Munich, but a start is not out of the question for the Croatian attacker as he looks to build on his 125 Champions League.
