Both Bild and kicker report that squad planner Sven Mislintat could be on the way out of Borussia Dortmund despite only beginning his new role at the club for three months.
It is said that Mislintat has exceeded his authority several times now, despite having to report to director of sport Lars Ricken and sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
Mislintat returned to the club to use his network to help identify potential targets and not get involved with negotiations. At previous clubs Stuttgart and Ajax, Mislintat was involved in the transfer negotiations with clubs and players. There have also been disagreements with the club’s transfer strategy regarding the signing of Yan Couto, which Mislintat did not approve of.
On top of this, the relationship between Mislintat and head coach Nuri Sahin is damaged due to the former’s behaviour around training sessions, which has irritated Sahin. Milsintat is also the cause for information being leaked to the press about Dortmund’s business. While his appearances on TV in recent months have also not gone down well.
The Dortmund native only returned to the Signal Iduna Park in May to become the squad planner after roles at Ajax, Stuttgart and Arsenal after his previous spell at Dortmund.
