Unai Emery boasts an unchanged squad for Aston Villa’s Premier League encounter against Arsenal.
Villa host the Gunners on Saturday (ko 5.30pm) in what is the club’s maiden home encounter of the 2024/25 campaign, striving to build upon last weekend’s opening-day victory at West Ham United.
Goalscorer Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen and Kosta Nedeljković all their made their debuts for the Villans, and will now be looking for their first outings at Villa Park.
And manager Emery provided an injury update at Friday afternoon’s pre-match media conference, sharing the latest on long-term absentees Boubacar Kamara and Tyrone Mings.
“Kamara is progressing a lot, I think now is the sixth month since he was injured and he had surgery,” said Emery.
“And, more or less, in a few weeks he will start training with us.
“Tyrone Mings is close to start doing something with the team, now he’s working alone but he’s feeling very good.
“Other players, I think they are available.
“We don’t have more issues with injured players.”
