Ollie Watkins and Emi Martínez hope to be available for Saturday’s clash against Brentford but Jacob Ramsey has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Top scorer Watkins was forced off at half-time in last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and missed Wednesday’s defeat at Manchester City.
Goalkeeper Martínez sat out of the midweek reverse at the Etihad Stadium due to illness.
The pair will be assessed ahead of this weekend but have both been included in Villa’s squad to face the Bees.
Captain John McGinn returns from his three-match suspension to boost Unai Emery’s squad for the Premier League encounter at Villa Park.
But fellow midfielder Ramsey, who has missed the last six matches, will not feature again this campaign due to a toe injury.
Head coach Emery provided an injury update at Friday’s pre-match media conference.
“Jacob Ramsey is again with some problems in his toe, he is not going to be available for the rest of the season,” said the Villa boss.
“Emi Martínez and Ollie Watkins could be (available) tomorrow, we will prepare for the match in the final 24 hours and tomorrow we will know if they’re available and ready to play.
“Emi and Ollie are included in the squad for tomorrow.”
