- Aston Villa Vs. Brentford – Wed, Dec 4th 2024, 20:15
Emi Martínez will be assessed ahead of Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Brentford.
The Villa and Argentina goalkeeper was forced off at half-time in Sunday’s defeat at Chelsea after sustaining a hand injury.
Martínez now faces a late fitness test ahead of the visit of the Bees to Villa Park on Wednesday night.
Unai Emery provided an injury update at Tuesday’s pre-match media conference.
“We are going to train this afternoon and I don’t know how he’s going to feel,” said the Villa manager.
“It depends on the training today.
“He could be for tomorrow or not. I don’t know now.”
Midfielders Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey have each missed the last three matches due to injury and remain sidelined.
Onana is progressively improving but Wednesday comes too soon, while Ramsey is expected to be out for approximately two to three weeks.
