- Fulham Vs. Aston Villa – Sat, Oct 19th 2024, 15:00
Tyrone Mings and Boubacar Kamara are in contention for their long-awaited returns as Aston Villa travel to Fulham on Saturday.
Both have been sidelined since last season with respective knee injuries, though were declared fit for the 3pm Premier League clash by Unai Emery.
The Villa manager gave a largely clean bill of health at his pre-match press conference, with Robin Olsen the only exception.
Referring to the returning duo, the Spaniard said: “Progressively, they are getting better, of course.
“Kamara and Mings, for this match, they are available, and they are going to try with us for Fulham.”
Emery continued: “Only still being out, he is training, but not 100% with us, is Robin Olsen. He is not in the squad, but the other players, they are available, and it’s good news.”
As well as ruling Amadou Onana once again available for selection at Craven Cottage, Emery also provided positive updates on Ezri Konsa – forced off in the first half of Villa’s last Premier League outing against Manchester United – Jaden Philogene, who picked up a knock while away with England Under-21s, and captain John McGinn.
“McGinn has trained this week normally with us, and he’s feeling good,” Emery added.
“Konsa as well, he’s feeling good. Jaden, he’s feeling good.
“I think it’s the first time this year, we are, more or less, with every player available to play.”
