Aston Villa will be without a host of players for Sunday’s final Premier League match of the season at Crystal Palace.
Nicolò Zaniolo suffered a broken metatarsal during Monday’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool and will now undergo surgery.
Unfortunately, it means the on-loan attacking midfielder is expected to miss this summer’s European Championship with Italy.
Speaking at Friday afternoon’s pre-match media conference, head coach Unai Emery stated Villa will also be without Youri Tielemans, Matty Cash, Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey for the trip to face the Eagles at Selhurst Park.
They join long-term absentees Emi Buendía, Tyrone Mings and Boubacar Kamara on the sidelines.
