Atletico Madrid spent a lot during the summer, and as a result, it is expected that they will not do much business during the next winter transfer window, which opens in just over two weeks. There could be departures, and one player who is almost certain to leave is Marcos Paulo.
During the summer, Paulo was loaned to the Belgian club RWD Molenbeek, although his time there was cut short. He then returned to Atleti, although he was reported by Martin Sartorio (via MD) that he will leave in January, with the likes of Monza, Verona and Genoa all having registered their interest.
Paul has little or no future Atletico Madridso it is inevitable that he will leave the club next summer at the latest. Moving into January would make a lot of sense, and at this stage, Italy seems a likely destination.
