The striker of Real Betis Victor Roque is set for a spell on the sidelines after spraining his ankle. His manager Manuel Pellegrini was brutally honest about his start of the season after joining from Barcelona on loan, but he did not have an easy introduction to European football.
A recent anecdote emerged from Radio Catalonia which detailed how hard it was to find things in Barcelona. Last season, during a training exercise involving circuit work, the players were required to shoot at the goal at the end, and they had to score or start the circuit again.

Roque missed his shot and had to retrieve his ball and start again, but he kept missing. At that point, Robert Lewandowski, who had completed his circuit, sat down to watch, but Roque had no more luck. The Brazilian eventually gave up the exercise, bursting into tears, in an incident that had an impact in the dressing room, which felt for his teammate.
Arriving without a lack of fanfare in Barcelona last January, many have accused Barcelona of not taking care of the teenager properly and facilitating his adaptation after a major move. While his spell at Betis has yielded even more fruit than a single goal, it is clear that he is playing with more confidence than he was at Barcelona. Betis has a purchase clause in the agreement that amounts to 25 million euros for 80% of his rights, and can also extend his loan for one more season.
