Slowly but surely, Barcelona are starting to recover their injured stars. There is hope that Frenkie de Jong and Gavi could return at the end of the month, but first in line is Ansu Fati, who has been out since July with a foot injury.

Hansi Flick was very keen to have Fati back as soon as possible, after he showed very encouraging signs during the pre-season. He was scheduled to return for Sunday's trip to Montilivi for the Catalan derby against Girona, but now the 21-year-old striker is set to miss out.
Ace for MDFlick decided that he does not want to risk Fati at the weekend, since he has not yet completed a full training session with the group. Therefore, now it will not be considered for selection.
Barcelona they hope Fati will resume full training in the coming days, allowing him to be available for their Champions League opener against Monaco next week.
