The Barcelona youngster faces an uncertain future as the injury limits the possibility of progression to the first team

Garrido is highly regarded at La Masia, and is one of the players who has a decent chance of nailing down a place in the first team for next season. However, their chances of doing so have taken a hit, as Sport they reported that he will miss the start of pre-season training due to a recurring foot problem.
Garrido suffered the latest injury during Barca Atletic's play-off win over Ibiza, and it means he will miss at least the opening stages of pre-season. He is still expected to play a part, and could join the first team squad for their tour of the United States, which gets underway towards the end of July.
The injury does not come at a good time for Garrido, who is running out of time to secure a promotion to the first team. His contract to Barcelona it expires in 2025, so its future could still be up in the air.
