Earlier this week, it was reported that Joan Martinez tore her anterior cruciate ligament. The 16-year-old defender was expected to be part of Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the 2024-25 season but will now almost certainly miss the entire campaign.
According to Marcoit was a harmless collision between Martinez and Endrick Felipe that led to the former's unfortunate injury. The incident is said to have happened just minutes after the end of Real Madrid's training session on Friday.
It has been a tough start to life at Real Madrid for Endrick, as he has failed to impress during the pre-season games in the United States. This incident did not help, although he can certainly take little blame for it.
It has not been the easiest of the summer for Real Madrid. Missing out on Leny Yoro was a blow, and his possible “replacement” now suffering an ACL tear is very cruel. Club officials hope that the 2024-25 season itself will be much better.
