Barcelona have been heavily linked with Luis Diaz and Nico Williams in recent weeks as they look for a left winger. It seems that two camps of opinion are forming on the issue.
It was reported on Sunday that Chelsea would prioritize a move for Williams after missing out on Michael Olise, but that has been shelved – the Blues apparently. I feel he is too expensive. With this in mind, talk of Diaz or Williams is currently hypothetical for Barcelona.

However Matteo Moretto revealed to Football España that there are many at the club who are pushing for the signing of Williams, even if it is a difficult deal for them financially. His release clause is currently set at €58 million, but the 21-year-old would likely require a considerable salary.
Reading between the lines, interest in Diaz has almost always been credited to Deco, implying that the Sporting Director is facing opposition to his preferred choice. The same sources say that the the cost would be about the samefor a player who is six years older.
