Real Madrid has sold its renewals to the Santiago Bernabeu as a money machine for the next 50 years, and will undoubtedly be one of its key earners in the coming years. However, their potential to do so was limited by the Council of Madrid.
Mayer of Madrid Jose Luis Martinez-Almeida announced TeleMadrid that Real Madrid will be limited to hosting 20 major concerts a year, while the club has also agreed to install sound-absorbing sheets on the stadium. AS Diary say that there will be limits on the power of the speakers for the concerts, and the agreement has been worked out with Los Blancos.
Real Madrid have faced numerous complaints from neighbors in the surrounding area, due to the deafening sound of the concerts. One of the biggest advantages of the Bernabeu is its location in the center of Madrid, but with the likes of Taylor Swift hosting huge concerts, the impact on the local population has been felt, and more definitely heard.
