Villarreal have been looking to replace Alexander Sorloth for the past week, with the Norwegian striker joining Atletico Madrid for €35m. Now it seems that they are about to close this matter, with a signature that would be almost nine times cheaper.
Earlier this week, Villarreal approached Ayoze Perez with a contract offer. The striker, who was part of Spain's Euro 2024 winning team, has a €4m release clause in his Real Betis contract, which is no problem for the Yellow Submarine.
