The figures that Real Madrid must pay for Kylian Mbappe: the Paris Saint-Germain striker has three requests
Real Madrid are increasingly optimistic about the prospect of signing Kylian Mbappe, and although there are several reports that the 25-year-old has reached a decision on his future, negotiations are yet to take place. The Paris Saint-Germain forward hasn't signed anything, and Los Blancos will certainly break their salary structure if they meet Mbappe's demands.
Several reports, including from Fabrizio Romano, have claimed that Florentino Perez will not offer Mbappe as much money as in 2022. However, Mbappe's demands do not seem to be reduced much. Chain SER report that Mbappe has three central questions regarding the money he wants to earn.
First, he wants a gross salary of 50 million euros per year. This would almost double the top end of the current salary structure that Los Blancos have implemented, with the first wages thought to be around €14-15 million.
Second, he needs a €125 million signing bonus, essentially a cheap transfer fee for him and his mother/agent, Fayza Lamari. Thirdly, he wants to keep a percentage of his image rights. In general, Real Madrid keeps all these from their players, but there was a recent report that they have to be disposed of cedes 60% of these rights.
Unless the Whites are desperate Mbappe to humble himself, after rejecting his offers in recent years, all these requests seem to be at the door of Real Madrid. With Mbappe seemingly so close, after so long, it would be a huge surprise if Perez let money get in the way of a deal.
