Former Premier League striker Benito Carbone looks unrecognizable in an Instagram post in which he appears training Andrés Iniesta.

The former Italian youth international started his career at Torino and moved to the first division in 1996 with Sheffield Wednesday.

Carbone scored 35 goals in 177 appearances in the English top flight, including spells at Aston Villa, Bradford City, Derby County and Middlesbrough.

During his playing days, he sported a lock of hair down, but his latest Instagram post shows the 52-year-old now sporting a much shorter cut.

The legend of Barcelona and Spain also accompanies him. Iniestaa player Carbone coaches as assistant manager of the Emirates Club.

Iniesta joined the United Arab Emirates team in August after a career in which he won nine LaLiga titles and four Champions Leagues alongside Lionel Messi and Xavi.

The 39-year-old has since made ten appearances for the club and has been under the management of his new assistant manager since January.

He worked with big names such as Louis van Gaal, Frank Rijkaard and Pep Guardiola at Barcelona, but is now under the management of a new-look Carbone.

The forward played for Roy Hodgson's Inter Milan before sealing his signing for Wednesday, where he played alongside Paulo Di Canio.

After three seasons at Hillsborough, Carbone signed for Villa and scored five goals on their way to the FA Cup final in 2000, only to lose 1-0 against Chelsea.

He then shocked the Premier League by completing a move to Bradford City on a £40,000-a-week deal, despite them barely surviving relegation.

The Bantams were eventually demoted to the top division and, to prevent them from sinking, he honorably gave up £3.32 million in wages to leave the club.

Carbone returned to Italy in 2002 and began his managerial career at Pavia as a youth coach.

He then coached the senior team before spells at Varese, Vallee d'Aoste and Ternana, and was also an assistant coach with the Azerbaijan national team.

Carbone now works alongside Walter Zenga at Emirates Club, who sit last in the UAE Pro League with just one win all season.
